This policy is part of the DrivenHost Terms of Service.
1. Thirty-day guarantee
If you are not satisfied with a new shared, reseller or email hosting plan, cancel within 30 days of the order date and we will refund the hosting fees you paid in full. The guarantee applies once per customer and to the first term of a new plan. It does not apply to virtual or dedicated servers, domain registrations and transfers, SSL certificates purchased from third parties, migration or setup fees where charged, add-on services, or renewals.
2. EU consumers
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Our 30-day guarantee is broader and applies instead, except that where you asked us to begin providing a Service immediately, any refund may be reduced by the value of Service provided before withdrawal, as EU law allows.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel any Service at any time through the client area. You can choose to cancel immediately or at the end of the current term. Cancelling stops future renewals. We may ask why you are leaving; you do not have to tell us, and we will not make you talk to anyone to cancel.
4. Refunds outside the guarantee
Outside the 30-day window, prepaid hosting fees are non-refundable, with these exceptions. If we discontinue a Service, or materially reduce it, you receive a pro-rated refund of the unused term. If we terminate your account for reasons other than a breach of the Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, you receive a pro-rated refund of the unused term. If you were charged in error, we will refund the error.
5. Domains
Domain registrations, renewals and transfers are submitted to the registry immediately and are non-refundable. Domains remain yours for their registered term even if you cancel hosting, and we will help you point them elsewhere.
6. Servers
Virtual and dedicated servers are provisioned specifically for you and are billed for the term selected. They are not covered by the money-back guarantee. You may cancel at any time to stop renewal.
7. How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Any account credit balance is refundable on request when the account is closed, less any outstanding invoices.
8. Data after cancellation
Your data, including backups, is deleted within 30 days of the account closing. Export anything you need before you cancel; we will help if asked.
